What is the UpPayment program?

UpPayment is Progressive's down payment assistance program. It's designed to help first-time homebuyers overcome financial barriers through down payment assistance. In 2026, at least 200 eligible first-time homebuyers will receive up to $13,500 each in down payment assistance. Applications for the 2026 program are currently closed but check back soon for updates on next year's program.

If you need help purchasing a home or making your mortgage payments, consider working with a housing counselor. You can find a housing counselor through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
